Tliltocatl is a genus of slow-growing, hardy tarantulas once part of the Brachypelma group. They’re known for their calm nature, making them ideal for beginner to intermediate keepers. Their native range includes Mexico and parts of Central America.

These species generally tolerate handling well and require only moderate humidity. Their striking black, brown, and red colorations, along with long lifespans, make them popular in the hobby.
