Nhandu is a genus of fast-growing, terrestrial tarantulas native to Brazil and surrounding regions. They are bold feeders, often out in the open, and prized for their size and color contrasts.

These spiders are suitable for intermediate to experienced keepers due to their speed, defensive tendencies, and frequent use of urticating hairs. A spacious, well-ventilated setup with moderate humidity suits them best.
