Brachypelma (Tarantulas)
Brachypelma is a genus of New World tarantulas native to Mexico and Central America. These spiders are famous for their stunning colors, long lifespans, and docile behavior, making them some of the most popular tarantulas in the pet trade.
Ideal for beginners and hobbyists of all levels, Brachypelma species are terrestrial and tend to be slow-moving, hardy, and relatively easy to care for. They require dry setups with ample substrate, moderate humidity, and hides. Many are long-lived, with females sometimes exceeding 20 years.
