Tapinauchenius (Tarantulas)
Tapinauchenius is a genus of fast, skittish, and arboreal tarantulas from South America and the Caribbean.
These spiders are known for their vivid coloration, rapid growth, and lack of urticating hairs—a trait unusual among New World species.
While often considered less defensive than some arboreal species, they are incredibly quick and prone to sudden bursts of movement. Best kept by intermediate to advanced keepers in tall enclosures with excellent ventilation and vertical hides.
