1. Overview

TarantulaMarket.com is an online marketplace connecting UK-based and international vendors with buyers of tarantulas, invertebrates, and related supplies. We facilitate transactions but do not own or directly sell any products listed on the platform.

2. Eligibility

To use this site, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under the laws of England and Wales.

3. User Accounts

Users must create an account to purchase or sell products.
Vendors are responsible for ensuring listings are accurate, lawful, and compliant with UK animal welfare and trade laws.
Buyers are responsible for ensuring they are legally permitted to purchase and possess the items ordered.

4. Vendor Responsibilities

All vendors must comply with our Vendor Policy and relevant UK legislation, including the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and CITES regulations.
Live animal listings must include correct species names, care requirements, and legal disclaimers.
TarantulaMarket.com reserves the right to suspend or remove vendor accounts for violations of any kind.

5. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers must review product listings carefully and ensure they meet local and national legal requirements for ownership.
Buyers must follow any shipping and handling policies set out by vendors, including those for live animals.
Disputes must first be raised with the vendor. If unresolved, buyers may contact us for mediation.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

List or purchase animals or products in violation of UK law or international wildlife trade laws (e.g. CITES).
Use false information, impersonate others, or abuse the platform.
Upload harmful or misleading content.
Engage in harassment, spam, or fraudulent activities.

7. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed securely via approved third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). TarantulaMarket.com may charge vendors listing fees and/or commissions. All charges will be clearly stated during account setup or listing creation.

8. Shipping and Live Animal Policy

Vendors must comply with our Live Shipping Policy. Live animals must be shipped using appropriate methods to ensure health, safety, and humane treatment. All shipments must comply with UK postal and animal welfare regulations.

9. Cancellations and Returns

Buyers may have statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. However, live animal purchases may be exempt from cancellation. Vendors must clearly state their return and refund policies.

10. Disclaimer of Liability

TarantulaMarket.com is not a party to any transaction between vendors and buyers. We are not responsible for product quality, delivery, or legal compliance of individual listings. Use of the site is at your own risk.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate user accounts for any breach of these terms or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove content, suspend listings, or limit access without notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the site after any changes implies acceptance of the revised terms. Please check back regularly for updates.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
